Over the years I have purchased the whole Darkover series and some of the Avalon always loved Marion's insights, wit, verve, style. There is a bit of locker room talk in the dialogue sometimes but that is exactly how the GI's talked to each other when they discussed their personal interests like girls, sport, music and dancing. I enjoyed reading it and found it to be a pleasant distraction. After reading this book I understood the fans excited to have China Mieville on a comic series. I can recommend this book to all who love the subject. No one knows just how that happened.
