Things get a bit trope-y, with the quest for a possibly magical, definitely symbolic, McGuffin (well, two) and a new ally brings in a bit of Beastmaster (well, -mistress, here). Otherwise, this book is not for you.. What a tremendous infinity was about to burst into our minds in place of the human engineering peep hole represented by intellectual ripples in the fabric of society after Bendix wrote:
