Known as 'The Hammerman Poet' and 'The Wiltshire Poet' Alfred Williams was born in 1877 in South Marston, near Swindon. Family poverty forced him to begin working for a farmer at the age of eight. While still a teenager he joined two of his elder brothers at the GWR works at Swindon. Throughout his life he was a prolific writer of both prose and poetry and his thirst for knowledge was immense -he even taught himself Sanskrit. The shock of receiving news of his beloved wife, Mary's, terminal illness proved fatal to him and he died just before her in 1930.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. He sites many things that help including a Mediterranean diet, exercise, sleep, and filtered water. If your looking for the true name of our Saviour, then this is definitely the book to get. That is the only good part.
Again disappointing. As an artist and a landscape painting instructor myself, I can vouch that the simple approach is something that every artist keeps returning to, regardless of experience level or years painting. Stokoe's study and intense research into the beauty, complexity, and linguistic formatives of what would come to be called American Sign Language forever transformed how the linguistic community would view the language of the deaf. The David I encountered in this book is just an average guy who struggled with his own demons. However, there is a photo of the famous site in the article about ship burials, but no reference to the photo from the Sutton Hoo article. Explores the supernatural world while giving it a very hu
