BARBARA V. SWOVELIN has taught AP and Honors classes since 1982. She serves as an AP English Exam Reader and a College Board Consultant. She has also taught graduate-level test preparation classes at California universities since 1986, and currently teaches at Torrey Pines High School in Del Mar, California.
A story told in language that is easy to understand. Very good start for investigation on the interaction between human impact and nature and vice verse. Much quicker than plodding through menus, one font at a time.
This reference book was definitely handy. My son (6 years old) loves this book. He started as a street artist painting portraits in Paris. I mainly bought the book for my kids, but now they cannot get it away from me.. This book features drawings by Beth van Hoesen and is a great gift when you want to send somebody more than a card. We have all read text books, instructional publications or technical manuals that are just plain boring. Yes, this book does cover a models, and for that I give it two stars. While the artwork is black and white (more like sepia actually) it is well executed and suits the story. To find an even-handed guide who is willing to acknowledge the profound ambiguity of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is a gift.
