Carpentier was a novelist, classically trained pianist and musicologist, aproducer of avant-garde radio programming, and an influential theorist of politics and literature.

I only wish everyone (layman and professional) had an ear for the simple beauty which Dr. How about – considering he’s ex. I was happy, sad, angry, worried and even embarrassed with the characters. On one hand, the author appears knowledgeable and sincere but she could have benefited from less celebrity endorsement and a better editor. Sometimes, I feel, Quayle "just loses it."
All that said, there is a LOT more to this book that I listed above (which was just to give you a taste).
Personally, I think there is a WEALTH of hard-to-find information in this book, but one has to be willing to separate the wheat from the chaffe, especially in regard to the connections Quayle makes based on his own particular brand of rather fundamentalist Christianity. After I had a chance to interview author Kristi-Hudecek-Ashwill for onlinebookclub.org, I committed to reading this book. This spiral bound 5"x7" hard cover hand book; is easy to read, carry and store. Recomm
