Being singletons, these stories don't give the same emotional satisfaction as (say) another visit to Callahan's or Lady Sally's, but on their own terms they're both thought-provoking and full of undisguised affection for the human race and its various members.
I invariably put down a Spider Robinson book with a wide grin, a racing mind, and a more optimistic outlook on life and its possibilities. I was searching for such an edition and happy to get this one. There are some pressing issues, such as cases where functionality isn't really closely acknowledged or is only examined once; students need a certain degree of repetition and, like most guide books, only one way is examined to do most of the things in the example projects. I'd call what Maya and Nicole had conversations not dialogue. Perhaps the problem is that the title of the book should be "T
